  • Hello Again!

It has been months since I've been on Xanga. There are two main reasons I've been gone, the first being my job and the second is Facebook. I finally buckled to the persistent pleas of my brother and the kids at church. But shortly after I joined, my brother left! Ha! It has been fun reconnecting with old friends again, but I think I would like to do a bit more blogging to cronicle what life throws at me. I have been writing in a journal for Joshua, but sometimes there I things I need to vent that are appropriate for me to put in his journal

So hopefully I will get back into the swing of things, not just writting, but reading those I had been subscribed to in the past. It will be fun to catch up!

  • And he's off!

I've been catching up on blogs lately and when I read that Lucas and Isaac are now walking it made me realize that I totally forgot to blog that Joshua is now crawling! He started on October 10th. Thankfully it is still slow going, but we will now have to go find a gate for our stairs.

Joshua had been able to get up on his hands and knees for a while where he would just rock back and forth. Then he added the push off, but because he only pushed with his arms he propelled him backwards.

Being sick of being stuck in reverse his preferred mode of transportation sans was rolling and pivoting. It was quite impressive how far he could move with this technique.

It is really quite humorous, at the expense of your child of course, watching them learn new things. One day he figured that his knees needed to move forward. Well, his hands stayed put and he slooowly tilted forward landing on his forehead. Makes one want to break out into "I'm a Little Tea Cup."

Now that he is crawling Katie's Lady Macbeth's toys have to be placed out of reach. He almost started chewing on one of her toys when I wasn't looking! Good thing she is okay with "sharing" with him, she is awful with other dogs. I think we have successfully established the order of rank in her mind. She may not agree with it in theory, but she does in practice.

Oh! His top two front teeth finally broke through a few days before he started crawling. So now his drooling has lessened considerably. No more four-bib-days, for now!

  • Out, out damn spot! Out I say!

Our dog, Katie, was kind enough to throw up in our living room. It left a lovely large stain in a shade of orange on our cream carpet. Perhaps she was just trying to add fall colors to our interior decor? That, I don't know.

But what I do know is that our pet stain remover product could not get out. (I don't even want to know what she got into that made her puke orange, I have enough going on!)

So I am calling out for help! Do any of you have a favorite pet stain remover? Or even just a regular stain remover? I can't recall the brand we used. I had poured the contents of a refill bottle into a generic spray bottle and tossed recycled the original container. I used the last of it in attempts to rid myself of removing Katie's attempts of interior decorating.

I would greatly appreciate any advice here. Thank goodness the friend that is visiting us tomorrow is also a dog owner and can understand our predicament.

Until further notice, Katie will be now be known as Lady Macbeth.

  • On the Way Home

First of all this a bit random, but as my site was loading I had forgotten that I changed my theme and I was all "What the heck? Who's site is... oh yeah.

    Anyway.

This is actually short enough to be a pulse, but I was so excited I thought it deserved its own post:

On the way home I saw that gas was below the $3.00 mark! Yup! It was $2.92. It's about time!
